Just visited Soba-dokoro Fujimura in Higashiomi, Shiga
This cozy, old-style house in the countryside was picked as one of Tabelog’s Top 100 Soba Restaurants in 2024 — and I totally get why!
The place has a high wooden ceiling and a peaceful vibe. First thing they served? Tea that was already amazing — I knew I was in for a treat
The menu is super simple: just soba. No tempura, no rice bowls — bold move, and I respect that.
Their special 100% buckwheat soba (limited to 30 servings a day) was already sold out when I went… bummer
But the regular soba? Thin, beautiful noodles with a perfect bite and that lovely soba aroma. You can tell it’s gonna be good before the first bite.
Next time, I’m definitely going for the 100% soba!

滋賀県東近江市長町にあるそば処 藤村に行ってきたよ
ここ、2024年の食べログ「そば百名店」に選ばれてるお店なんだって！
田園風景の中にある古民家風の建物で、木のぬくもりと高い天井がいい雰囲気
最初に出てきたお茶がすでにめちゃ美味しくて、これは期待大！
メニューはお蕎麦一本勝負。天ぷらも丼ものもなし。潔くてカッコいい。
限定30食の十割そばは…この日は売り切れで食べられず
でも普通のお蕎麦も、細めの麺がピシッとしてて見た目から美しい。
ふわっと香る蕎麦の香りと、しっかりコシのある食感が最高！
次こそは十割そばリベンジしたいな〜！
